It isn’t always easy to break out of the mold but that’s exactly what Kanishk Tuteja, founder of 1 Oak Cafe did eight years ago when he graduated. After studying commerce, Tuteja realised that it wasn’t really his calling and decided to enter the restaurant business because of his passion for the hospitality industry.

It isn’t really ‘one of a kind’, as the name itself is similar to a popular New York club, but it does make for a damn good experience! The food and drinks are really nice, and the music takes your already-perfect date to another level.

We’ve been wanting to try out the popular Nukkad Cafe & Bar for a while now and we finally did! This cutesy place has a bright and lovely outdoor seating as well as a cosy indoor seating. We thought we’ll have to sit inside, considering how hot it has become already, but the amazing mist fans that are installed outside make sure you don’t feel hot at all.

The place has been done up like a typical street corner that you’d come across in any Indian city. This is a place where people gather to talk over tea and hot snacks, or perhaps, smoke a sheesha. All these ingredients that make for a perfect winter evening are to be found in the outside seating area of the café. The huge tree at the corner with hanging lights and the fairy cage lights adorning unfinished walls lend a dreamy effect.

The combination of Sufi music and a nightclub continued to enchant Delhi partygoers, who attended another such evening at 1 Oak Café & Bar in the capital recently. “The live musical Sufi act is an extension of the brand ethos of 1 Oak.
